  • Add different mix-ins like dark or white chocolate chips, nuts, sprinkles, or peanut butter chips.

  • Soften the butter early by taking it out of the fridge at least 2 hours before baking or warm it in the microwave for about 7 seconds, but DO NOT MELT!

  • DON'T OVER MIX! This causes the cookies to flatten and become thin.

  • Chill the dough for a bit before baking if it is very sticky.

  • Freeze the dough to save for later.

Tricks: How to Bake Frozen Dough

Thaw it first:

  • Remove the dough balls from the freezer, set them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and cover with a light cloth towel or napkin to let them thaw.

  • Once they reach room temperature (after about 1-2 hours) bake as directed  (375 degrees F).

Bake from frozen:

  • Place the dough on a parchment lined baking sheet.

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and put the cookies in the oven in the beginning of the preheating time (ONLY if you are baking the frozen dough). Set the timer for 15 minutes and remove the cookies after 15 minutes.
